Penny and the Drifting Island
Consistently, as she strolled through the town, Penny would look up at the sky, expecting to get a brief look at the strange island. It was said to show up just to those with a genuine feeling of marvel and a bold heart. Not entirely set in stone to track down it.
“Where are you going, Penny?” her mother called from the entryway.
“I will track down the drifting island!” Penny replied happily.
Her mother giggled and waved. “Best of luck, Penny! Make sure to be protected.”
As she plunked down to eat her sandwich, Penny gazed toward the stars. There, between the glimmering lights, she assumed she saw something uncommon — a weak gleam somewhere far off.
Through the trees she traveled, up a winding way that appeared to wander aimlessly voluntarily. The farther she went, the more splendid the light became, until abruptly —
The Drifting Island.
It was significantly more brilliant than Penny had envisioned. A rich island of green trees and shimmering cascades, suspended overhead by nothing by any stretch of the imagination. The island floated tenderly, floating with the breeze. Splendid, vivid birds flew all through the mists, and sensitive blossoms sprouted in the air.
Penny couldn’t accept the obvious reality. She ventured forward, awestruck, and that is the point at which she saw something different — a little, gleaming entryway at the edge of the island.
Inside was a quiet room loaded up with delicate light and peculiar, shining items. In the focal point of the room stood a sort, savvy looking owl with feathers as completely white.
“Welcome, Penny,” the owl said in a profound, warm voice. “I’m Orin, the guardian of the Drifting Island.”
Penny wheezed. “You know my name?”
“I do,” Orin answered, gesturing gradually. “The island just uncovers itself to the people who are genuinely inquisitive and courageous. You are one of them.”
Penny’s eyes shone with energy. “What insider facts? Might you at any point show me?”
The owl grinned. “I can, however you should vow to guard them in your heart, for the island’s sorcery is a fortune, not to be shared too without any problem.”
Penny gestured genuinely. “I guarantee.”
“Glance through it,” Orin said.
Penny looked from the perspective. The stars moved and gleamed, framing examples and shapes she had never seen. She saw dreams of distant spots, animals of legend, and the eventual fate of the world unfurling before her eyes. It was like the actual universe was uncovering its insider facts to her.
“I see… so much,” Penny murmured, overpowered with amazement.
Penny gestured, her heart full. She would have rather not left, however she realize that the island’s wizardry would constantly accompany her.
With a last gander at the drifting heaven, Penny ventured back through the shining entryway, and unexpectedly, the island was no more. Once more, the sky was quiet, with just the delicate stir of the trees in the breeze.
What’s more, perhaps, quite possibly, at some point, she would think that she is way back.
The End.
